Favourite Verse

They are lots of encouraging and challenging verses in the bible -- some of which appeal more to some than others. But think of ONE that you really like. One that makes you happy, encouraged, or just makes you feel safe. Here is my favourite:

Psalm 4:8

I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

    That's a good idea. Well, I have A LOT of favorite bible verses, and they're mostly in Pslams (my favorite book of the bible, not including Ats). Anyways, I really like the verse:

    Psalm 139:13...Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out, you formed me in my mother's womb.


    and this is a good verse but it isn't my favorite:

    Proverbs 16:28....A perverse man stirs up detention and a gossip separates close friends.


    here is one that I like:

    Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me;
    fight against those who fight against me.

    and....

    Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
    do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
    when they carry out their wicked schemes.


    and....

    I said, "I will watch my ways
    and keep my tongue from sin;
    I will put a muzzle on my mouth
    as long as the wicked are in my presence."

    and... (sorry, so many!!!)

    My mouth will speak words of wisdom;
    the utterance from my heart will give understanding.


    The book of Psalms HAS to be my favorite (FAVORITE spelt American). I love it so much, so, I have to admit, my favorite author is KING DAVID, lol!

    I have alot of favorite verses. Here's one of them:

    "How can a young girl keep her way pure? By keeping it according to Thy Word." Psalm 119:9

    I also like Matthew 6:19-21... you should check it out! =)

    Awesome, you guys! Thx so much for sharing! I love the book of Psalms, but right now I'm reading Proverbs. There is some awesome stuff in there, which I'll probably post on sometime soon =)

    That would be great if you could post those! My mum/mom really likes Proverbs, and i do too, but Psalms has touched me a lot lately.
