what's inside. you have no idea...intro & part 1

Those kids. Maybe they're "normal". Maybe they're weird. Maybe they're quiet. Maybe they're loud.

Some people we ourselves may consider "different" are socially accepted by the people whose opnions seem to really count in our lives. Like, the kids who seem to influence what everyone does -- they like this person, they're normal -- we can talk to them like we talk to our friends.

Those other people, hanging around? Oh, we're not allowed to hang around with them -- not unless we wanna lose the "respect" of the guy setting those standards. In my opinion? Forget what that guy's saying, he shouldn't be listened to if that's the kind of advice he's giving out.

I mean, the bible says a couple of things that I can relate to this... and the next few days, these are going to be the focuse of my blog posts:

Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what IS good.

Make your motions and cast your votes, but God has the final say.

Listening to gossip is like eating cheap candy; do you really want junk like THAT in your body?

Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit -- you choose.

And today's post?

...Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what IS good.

So, that kid thinks you look pretty ugly? And he thinks that girl over there is hot?

Uhh, yeah, maybe. But come on -- does that actually matter? Like, in the end, when you've finished high school? I mean, at the time, it might seem really horrible that that guy just thinks your ugly -- or way to weird -- or loud -- or quiet -- or whatever. But in the end? You will realize it's for the best.

I mean, I'm not saying that it's wrong if guys do like you. Duh, it's part of life. I'm talking about WHY they do. Cuz if it's because you're really pretty, or you're suddenly famous or something?

Yeah, that's not really much of a reason, hey?

Anyway -- the point I'm trying to make here is -- God doesn't care like, really doesn't care -- about what we look like.. sure, he made some of us really pretty, because, like I posted the other day -- we're all here for a purpose, wether your a Christian or not, wether (is that how you spell 'wether'?) you KNOW what that purpose is -- or not.

But I'm not gonna go blabbering on about our purpose's AGAIN -- and if you wanna read that post, btw, click here.

Just know that, regardless of what others say, whether (Yes, that's how you spell it!)..whether they tell you you're pretty or not -- that, at the end of the day (and all other times, but you know what I mean..) that what matters most is what God thinks of you. And he just thinks you're beautiful.
I mean, gosh, like God's just gonna go, "Ohh, Emily doesn't think that girls pretty at ALL -- so neither do I, I mean, wow, I couldn't like, disagree with her -- I mean, after all -- I CREATED her!"

Yeah, that's kinda my point. God doesn't change his opinion to match ours, so why should we change ours to match other people's?

  2. Yeah, I'm so sick of all these beauty advertising commercials! It's sad that the world only looks at the outside. It's GOOD to know that God looks at the heart! : )

  4. Since I get so bored alot, I watch those beauty infomercials, and I think, "What would that look like on me?" I think that Dove, the soap company, had some thing on making young girls feel beautiful about who they are, inside out. I thought that was touching. :)
