what's inside. you have no idea...part 2

Listening to gossip is like eating cheap candy; do you really want junk like THAT in your body?

Ever watch those movies you just KNOW are filling you mind with junk, scenes and words that, well, you don't want -- and definitely just don't NEED? Yeah.

Same with gossip. Maybe it seems like so much fun to be talking about stuff that you've been thinking in your mind, like how that girls pants are waaay too short, that it looks like she reallyy needs a size three sizes bigger -- for the last couple of weeks, days, whatever -- and now, finally, you can talk openly about this stuff with people who've also noticed this.

Mmm. But a couple of things could go wrong.

1) That person could find out, by:

a. A friend, who also participated in the gossip session, telling the girl/guy about what what said about them.

b. They overhear about what you were saying.

2) When you leave, you don't know what they're talking about -- maybe it's you..

3) It could hurt them real bad. It might seem okay to you, but you have no idea how that person is feeling -- unless you've experienced it yourself. But, if that's the case -- surely you would have figured out how much gossip can hurt -- and have enough sense not to join in?

Finally -- you know it's wrong. And yeah, maybe it just seems so excitingly fun, to be gossiping. But you know what? It's not. Just imagine sitting on the other side of the room -- being the one they're talking about. How'd you feel then? Pretty horrible? Yeahh..

ages and AGES ago i did a post about gossiping. it was hard to write it though because I had a few awesome friends. they gossiped about me (and say they didnt) and then, over.

thats why Ive writing a bit of that in my online chat group story. its hard for me to remember it. but it ruins friendships, it really does.

thanks for your great post :)
