Forgiveness
Hey girlz, I'm sorry about my last post -- I guess I put my words the wrong way around, yeah? Well, I hope you'll forgive me :)
Now, for today's post -- Forgiveness.
I'm not gonna go around, researching every little thing and trying to lay everything out, like I have been lately. I'm gonna do this how I love it -- writing from the top of my head, what I know, what I understand! :)
So, forgiveness. I'm sure you've all had to forgive people along your journey of life, right? Yeah. I have. Sometimes it can seem so easy -- like, what they didn't do was so bad, "Yeah, I forgive you."
But what if they did something mega-bad, and it really hurt you, physically or emotionally? It can be hard. Maybe it did/will take a long time until you forgive them. Especially if they haven't even asked you for forgiveness...
Lets look on the other side now. Have YOU ever hurt anybody really bad, without acknowledging it, without asking them for forgiveness? And even if you did ask them, did they accept it?
A couple of weeks ago, my dad preached on forgiveness. He said this one thing, which stood out to me, "To have God forgive you, you have to forgive others".
Matthew 6:14-5 -- "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."
REMEMBER -- This doesn't mean that, if you don't have Jesus in your heart, He will not forgive your sins. Because that's why Jesus died on the cross -- to forgive our sins. When you ask Jesus into your heart, He's forgiving your sins. They're washed away. Gone. Your clean, everything you've done wrong is gone!
You have to forgive everyone, no matter how hard it may seem. And yes, that'd be impossible -- if it weren't for God. Because only He can give us the strength, power and love to forgive.
To forgive, how do you do it? I guess you just gotta let it go. Tell God that you forgive this person -- if you can, tell the person who hurt you that you forgive them. Do you know how much better you're gonna feel? I know it'll be hard -- so very, very, hard. You can only do it with Jesus' help.
Even if you have no friends left at all on the entire earth, Jesus is that friend. Invite him inside the door of your heart, you will be forgiven. Now, with His help -- you can forgive everyone you just couldn't bring yourself to do.

ReplyDeleteWe also have to be forgiven to get like, to heaven. That's not the only way to get to heaven, but it's one of the main ones. If we dont forgive others, God can't forgive us, and then, well, no heaven.

My sister's friend fell off a tree just then, and it was really high. she hit a driveway, and her bones were like sticking out, and-- please pray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she's getting rushed to hospital right now. she's only like 7 or something, and my sister saw it. (she feels like its all her fault) please pray!

Great post Emmi. I wish my friend would forgive me. But she wont even talk to me. And I had a dream about her last night and I was like crying this morning because I miss her and feel so bad. Please pray she will forgive me.
