Awarded to... and a Lesson in Life.

Hey girlz!
Guess what -- I've been awarded the lovely.... Lemonade Stand! LOL, yes, I have been promoted to "Lemonade Seller." Just kidding, in case you didn't catch the sarcasm :P

So, really, this award is for  "being a blogger who shows great attitude and gratitude."

I was given this award by Amy & Libby -- thanks, girlz!

Now, I'm going to award it to 5 people -- (I'm sorry, I won't be linking the blogs, cuz I'm on my dad's computer and it's kinda hard to navigate around, hehe, so it would take forever... I'll just provide the blog addresses :))

Libby, at girlsofhope.blogspot.com

Chelsea, at clubchea.blogspot.com

Anna, at sistersnthesaviour.blogspot.com

Rachel, at girlzofaith.blogspot.com

Elizabeth J, at fpptprintsinthesand365.blogspot.com

Of course, if I could pick some more -- I'd pick YOU! xD

Now, I hope you haven't skipped this post entirely, because it's an award post -- because I also have a "Lesson in Life" post I'm gonna share with you all.

Okay, so. Lemonade stand. We don't have lemonade stands in Australia -- but how 'bout America? Tell, tell, tell. :P

What do you to, to set up a lemonade stand?

You make the lemonade.

Make you you have the right amount of lemon, water & sugar (Unless there are other ingredients -- in that case, you'll have to have  the right amount of them, too, lolz!)

Buy a lot of cups, so that there'll be enough for everyone to have some.

Decide on a price that people will have to pay to buy some lemonade.

Set up shop, with a banner or something advertising your shop.

Right. All that's done.

Then people start walking by. You want to sell them your lemonade, but you're not sure what to say. "Hello! Buy some lemonade!"

Okay, so I guess you could say that. But what if they just walk past? Uh, rejection!

Someone stops, buys a cup, then walks a couple of steps away before trying it. He spits it out; I guess you put too much of something, or too less of something in the mixture.

By the end of the day, you've sold 5 cups of lemonade. Not a very promising profit, hey?

But read on.

Holding a lemonade stand is a bit like leading people to Jesus. You have to figure out what to say -- and how you're gonna say it. Just like you made your banner, and put the ingredients into the lemonade mixture.

People walk past, not listening to what you're trying to tell them. You're business isn't going too good -- is there something wrong with what you're saying? Is  there something missing? You might have to rethink the "recipe" -- maybe ask God what you're missing?

Don't be discouraged, though; the next day, there's a new lemonade stand. This kid, about your age -- is having a great success, selling her lemonade almost as soon as she can make it.

She has the right amount of everything, and it's working; the final result sounds good to people. By getting out  there and trying, you were an inspiration for this young girl -- because you got out there and gave it ago, this girl got out there and changed some lives.

What's the mixture like in your lemonade jar? Too sour, to strong? Not enough of something? Keep working at it, you'll get it. And while you're here, check out "The Lost Get Found". I'm pretty sure it's on my blog somewhere (In a post -- either on this page or the next) or you can go to Prism's blog (agirlofmanycolours.blogspot.com) because I know she's done a post with it recently -- or Anna's blog (sistersnthesaviour.blogspot.com) , too. OR just got to YouTube and look it up. :D

Hope you're all having a fabulous new year, girlz!

  8. Great post, Emii! Btw, could you be praying for me? I'm just going through a tough time right now. Basketball is really depressing. In fact, I hate it. My coach never pays any attention to me, I'm doing really badly, and it's getting in the way of school. Also, I've been getting so much homework lately that I haven't been able to spend much time with God. Please pray for me! Thanks, Emii. You Rock!
