Trust
When you say something to a friend in confidence, you sort of expect it to stay that way, don't you? Like, say, if you said to your best friend, Kelly, "You know that girl, Shannon? Yeah, well don't you think she's pretty annoying, the way she always has to know everything?"
And then the next day you come to school, and it turns out that Shannon knows. That's right -- Kelly has gone and told her, or somebody else who then spread it over to Shan. The main thing is, you trusted Kelly -- and she went and betrayed you. I guess she may have lost your trust, huh? But then, you've probably lost the possible friendship of Shan, too. Which is a good lesson to learn -- hello, don't gossip! But that's not the point of this post. {Not the main point, anyway. Still a point, though... I think I've over-used the word...)
When there's someone that you can trust, you can tell them anything, right? Maybe not. I mean, it is possible to trust someone without wanting to pour your heart out to them. I totally get that.
I bet you know the only one you can trust for every-single-little-thing though, right? Yeah -- God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
-- Proverbs 3:5-6
And if you had it proved to you that you just can't trust your friends? Maybe it's time to find some new ones. I know how hard that can be. But maybe you need to give them a second chance. Afterall, they could've learned from their mistakes. Just don't give up, and remember to keep trusting in God.
with all the things happening in my family I needed to remember to trust God.

Great post, Emii! Trusting that God will answer my prayers and keep His promises has been kind of a challenge for me lately so thank you for posting on that. Btw, Proverbs 3:5-6 is one of my favorite verses too. Have a great week!

P.S. Could you do a post on self-consciousness (being concerned about your looks)? I've really been struggling with this lately and it would really help me if you would do that. Thanks!
