Book Review: Glamour

I can honestly say this is the best Melody Carlson book I've ever read.

I'm not sure why -- I'm guessing it might be a girl thing -- but books about the fashion world and being famous and stuff -- are just so fun to read! I like how Melody portrays Erin and Paige as if their lives are totally normal, and fame is just a part of their career, instead of them being totally separate from the rest us.

I also loved how the topics were deep and interesting; yet they were light, and not too heavy, like some other Melody Carlson books I've read. And running into some old friends -- Rhiannon and Taylor and Eliza, to mention a few -- was pretty exciting for me. Remember the Carter House girls? Yeah, well we got to see where they are now. Probably the same as the previous four books in the series, too -- but this is the first book in the "On the Runway" series I've read.

"Sink or swim?

Paige's engagement to designer Dylan Marceau shocks the fashion world. Although Paige appears to be happy, Erin wonders if it's true love or just a desire for attention and publicity. As Paige's love life takes off, Erin is feeling pressure from Blake to take their friendship to a romantic level. But is she ready?

These two very different sisters still have one thing in common -- their fashion TV show and all the drama that comes along with it. As they prepare for a trip to film in the Bahamas, the Forrester sisters discover that paradise isn't all it's cracked up to be. Can they do the right thing in tough situations -- and the right thing for each another -- in a business that often encourages the worst?"

I definitely recommend this book to you girlz. Like I said -- the best Melody Carlson book I've ever read! It was exciting, fun, and just all all-around great read.

And thanks to Zonderkidz for providing a free copy for me to review! :)
