alive in Him

You see, I've been thinking about Paul's words in Philippians 4:8. 

" Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."
We read those words -- and then we go on living. As if we never really died and became alive in Christ. I picked up the dictionary that lives by me, and decided to look up each of the words Paul uses to see what they really mean. 



 We're supposed to think about thinks that are "worth admiring". Things that are praiseworthy -- like the fact that God is the Creator. Things that are genuine -- not false. Good character. Morally good, fair, just.

Free from evil and sin. And you know the best part? We really can. We really, really can. Free from evil and sin. You know how? We ask Jesus to forgive us. And believe me -- Jesus wants to forgive me and He wants to forgive you. He didn't die on that cross for nothing. He died so that He'd be able to forgive us and the things we do wrong -- so that we'll live in His Kingdom -- yeah, it's an actual Kingdom, a Kingdom unlike anything anyone's imagination -- including CS Lewis' -- will ever imagine -- forever.

Forever.

And while we're here on earth, we're living for Jesus. We're alive in Christ. Galations 2:20 says,

 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

We're living this life we're living by faith in the Son of God -- Jesus -- and we're living it for Him. We're Alive in Jesus.
