a different envelope

I don't know if you noticed... but I love quotes. And my good old Forever Friends journal from Robin Jones Gunn is, if you ask me -- the best place to find them. If I didn't have a thing about repeating the same journals, I'd buy another one. Seriously, if you don't have one already... you won't regret buying this one. I love it that much. On the left hand side of the page... quotes. And the right? Bible verses. Encouraging, Inspiring, Smiling. ..okay, I just made that up. 

Wow, this quote really comforted me... and it came from Robin herself. Aren't her books the most homey, comforting books ever? I was wondering the other day -- how do writers make us feel things? How do they make us cry, and laugh and smile?

I think it's because they show us their character's heart. If we can become friends with their character, then like a friend, we'll be impacted by things that happen to them. And I think that's pretty special.
