treasure in heaven
what am i doing? i act and feel as if this whole world revolves around me.
New Zealand had an earthquake; Christchurch [the capital city] basically needs to be rebuilt.
Japan had an earthquake. Then a 10m high tsunami. Thousands -- thousands -- died.
It doesn't matter what the number. The fact is, we can't stop a big wave. It just coasts along, tearing apart houses and sweeping people along with it.
Libya. The Middle East that area's called, right? People are being killed.
Huge Floods here in Australia,, destroying people's homes -- and lives. Fire.
The truth is... we can lost everything just like that. I have no idea what that would be like.
Some people do.
We'd lost our clothes. Our teddy. Our books. Our computer. Our TV. Maybe we'd lose a friend. Or our family.
Those words don't give it justice. You can't just write, "Or our family." If I lost my family...
There's a verse in the Bible. "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." Matthew 6:20-21
I guess we have to stop and think. What's important?
