if we are the body

As of  today, Girlz 4 God has officially reached 200 followers. I guess the new look came just in time, huh? So that's quite exciting. Ooh, check out the blog pod for some new music, by the way! [Well not yet, because it wasn't working:P] Anyway, thanks to all of you readers and commenter's for... well, reading and commenting!;)

I was responding to a comment a few minutes ago and was reminded of this song by Casting Crowns, If we are the Body. It's somewhere in the New Testament -- Ephesians? -- about how we're the body of Christ.

Ya see, this is why we need this spirit of unity. So that we can be the body of Christ. Because how does it work if we have an arm but no legs or other arm or eyes or whatever else? To use the lyrics of an ancient High School Musical song, We're all in this together. That movie actually has a lot to learn from. But that's for another post.

Let's listen to the song. And then think...

But if we are the body, why aren't His arms reaching? Why aren't His hands healing? Why aren't His words teaching? And if we are the body, why aren't His feet going? Why is His love not showing them there is a way? ...there is a Way. 

Jesus paid much too high a price for us to pick and choose who should come...And we are the body of Christ.

" But you know that He appeared so that He might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin. No-one who lives in him keeps on sinning." 1 John 3:5-6

   What's that mean? If we were were to love everyone... everyone were to see Jesus... and love in and live in Him...

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God...dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No-one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us."

I've been crucified by Christ and no longer live... but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
