love God, love people
When I set myself a goal, things that I didn't think I'd be able to do are suddenly possible. At the start of the year, I did the beep test for the first time. In case you have no idea, it's related to fitnessness and you have to run to this certain point and back, beating the beeping sound. The first time, I got 4.1. (They have these special level things.) The next time, my friend and I decided to go for 5.1. We got our goal.
This last time, I made it my goal to reach 6.1. What happened? I got there.
Which caused me to ask this question; What if I set a higher goal? What if I were to accomplish something big?
You know the quote, "If we did all the things we were capable of we would literally astound ourselves." It's true.
These school holidays, I'm spending less and less time on the computer. [It's day one, but you know.] It's limited.
My sister and I decided today that we're going to write letters to our old friends instead of talking to them on Facebook.
Our lives don't have to revolve in the same old circles of eating food, going on Facebook and sleeping. I mean, by the level of the volume on our iPod's and the hours we spend in front of a computer screen... we're going to both blind and deaf by the time we're fifty! All of us, our whole generation -- and then how will anything ever be any different?
It's funny, the things that we have in common -- Facebook and earphones -- are the same things that take us away from really becoming united, don't they?
What if we turned these things into something good? Something that impacts the world in a good way? What if we set goals for ourselves where our hears are changed to be more like Jesus and our actions reflect how we love Him and that we're His?
Don't be afraid to set a goal so high that you'll fail. Because if you're living for God, and if you're serving Him and loving like He loves... if we trust Him and hear His voice and follow Him... then nothing is impossible.
"Don't be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try."
Love God. Love people. That's what God said.

Thanks. I really needed this. :)
