things change, tv changes

Do you ever feel like there's something beyond going to school and forgetting to complete homework and eating chocolate and making your bed and painting your nails? Yes, there were way too many 'and's' in that sentence. That's really not the point.

I've been reading Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris -- in fact, I just placed my order for their new book, Start Now. I read about Zach Hunter, who learned that there are actually still slaves in this world today -- and he knew that God was calling him to do something and he had to obey. Here he is today... inspired by William Wilberforce, who, after watching Amazing Grace last year, I admire a lot

Imagine having a cause to live for.

A group of Australian's aged 18-22 came up with the idea of Thankyou Water. We all buy bottled water, right? I do, anyway. But the thing is, we're supporting all these big companies that really don't need the money -- in fact, it's a 600 million dollar industry.
The purchase of one bottle of Thankyou Water is enough to provide clean drinking water to one person for at least one month in the developing world.

With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don't hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort. -- 1 Corinthians 15:58 [The Message]

What if we all reunited? What if we all joined together... with a cause to glorify God? Our classes, our schools... our communities? Our countries, our nation?

Because we can't just sit here and wait for someone else to hear that the world needs saving. Now's the day, isn't it?

Listen.
Pray.
Obey.

It rhymes. I guess it's a God-thing.

i don't know but i got this feeling, that today's gonna be my turning point. you just gotta look closer, instead of searching so hard. -- FM Static, Dear God

  1. Whoo, you're on fire, girl! we do need to make a difference even if it's not necessarily the "cool" thing to do, to reach out to the broken, the poverty-stricken, the lonely. It's funny, i actually own the book Do Hard Things, but have only read part of it... i should probably get it out sometime and read it, though. Btw, there's actually this book that's written by Zach Hunter that's called Be the Change...it's really good! i'd highly recommend it.

ooh! i love that song :)

    Keep writing for Jesus, Emii!

  2. Ohh, I read about that book -- and Zach has another one, too, actually. I definitely will ask if I can get them! Thanks for reminding me, Chelsea!

    Hope -- Yeah! :D
