a big pancake breakfast.

I'm the kind of girl who follows every step of the recipe and ends up with flat cookies.
I google "basic" when I search for something to cook because otherwise, well, it's just too complicated.

This morning, however, was different.
Stephanie Morrill's pancake recipe is absolutely wonderful.
Enough said.
[But I'll say more anyway.]
these pancakes flipped like they flip in the movies.

the mixing bowl. interesting and intriguing as, i know.

there's really not much to say. this is a pancake.

melted ice-cream. for breakfast. i mean, what more could you ask for, really?

oh, even better. un-melted ice-cream. yes, the edges are a tad burnt. but hey, they cook faster. ;)

oh wow this is so cool. i just figured out you could click "add caption".
*changing all the other captions to official captions*.
So anyway, that's my day.
Reading: On a Whim -- Kate Welden Series #2, by Robin Jones Gunn. Lovin' this book. Of course.
Listening to: I'm really not sure. The radio reception is terrible.

Oh, and a verse I found this morning that sunk into me like I'd just discovered some piece of ancient treasure that had been buried for years?

"Don't let evil get the best of you; get the best of evil by doing good." -- Romans 12:21, The Message

That's how we overcome evil. With God -- God is good. God is love. God is bigger than anything and everything.  Strive to do good. Desire to good. I'm reading Just like Jesus by Max Lucado again. I want a heart likes Jesus'. It seems impossible, doesn't it?

"I can do anything through Christ who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

PS Yes, I did get the title from that movie.

    Oh.

My heart is just fluttering thinking about it...

Katie is great too though... Christy is just sort of unbeatable. Love it. I hope Robin writes a continuation of Christy and Todd- while they are married...

Lolz, for the caption? Just click the picture where it says "enlarge" and stuff and there it is, caption. :)

    Oh yes, definitely ice-cream.

Waffles? Weird as it may sound... I've never, ever had them. I know Christy had them, though -- Uncle Bob made them for her in Summer Promise. ;)
