deeply at peace
"But I'm not abandoned. The Father is with me. I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world."
If you're like me, sometime you might've said something along the lines of, "Well, Jesus knows God -- it's easy for him trust God. To have a relationship with Him."
But Jesus was constantly heading into the mountains and the boat and wherever else he could find some solitude -- and He'd pray. He sought out that place so that He'd be free to give God all His attention. His spirit. His time -- his life. If we're willing to give God our time -- which, in this world, is probably considered most important over everything -- we can give Him our life.
That's what Jesus did.
And what else did Jesus do? He said that, if we gave Him our lives and trusted Him -- really, really trusted Him -- we'd be unshakable. We'd be assured. We'd be deeply at peace. You don't get that on your own -- you get that with God.
He says, "Yeah, life is going to be tough sometimes. But take heart -- there's hope. I've conquered the world."
Jesus is above it all. I promise you this -- He loves you. Just look at Him. Hold out your hand, and He'll take it. Never let you go.
"They got up, drove Him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill, on which the town was built, in order to throw Him off the cliff. But He walked right through the crowd and went on His way."
But me and Jesus went right through the crowd and went on our way.

I love that second verse you used! It's one of my faves! :) Wonderful post Emii! It's so beautiful to know that God is our rock, someone we can turn to for help, so we can become unshakeable. I love that. ♥
