i don't know what to call this post because my titles are always the same and this isn't the same

I found my way over to singer Laura Story's website, and read this:

I don't want to be a conservative Christian; I want to give with abandon, to be spent, to truly give my life away for the cause of Christ.

We try so hard to make our lives here on earth good. Friends? Family? Clean room, money, a job? Check, check, check.. all right, life's doing good. "Now, God what were you saying?"

The world supports an idea of self-centered living because I have 'just this one life,' but we need to look at it the other way... we only have one life to give to God.

Jim Elliot said,

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. 

In my Bible, I look over highlighted verses. Jesus says, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace." "Don't be afraid; just believe." "You faith has saved you. Go in peace."

Your faith has healed you. Now go in peace. Not in fear or worry about what will happen tomorrow or because you did this or that.

Hebrews 11:1,

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Jesus is what we hope for. Jesus is who we're certain of though with these two eyes we don't see. Faith is believing that Jesus is holding you and He knows what He's doing. Faith is letting go and letting God; trusting Him.

Luke 11:28,

Blessed...are those who hear the word of God and obey it.

I can read these words and know they're true and then shut the lid of my laptop and whine about being bored and eat chocolate and sit down and do nothing and complain and yawn.

Or I can somehow trust God and live them.
