treasure's in your heart

"Stand up for me among the people you meet and the Son of Man will stick up for you before all God's angels."

You know what that says? If I stand up for Jesus among the people I meet, He's going to stand up for me before all His angels. It doesn't say that Jesus is gonna stand up for me before people, because that's not what matters.

When I die, I'll go to Heaven. Jesus will put His arm around me and if I obey Him He'll look at the angels and say, "This is Emily. She stood up for me on earth, and this is her new home. Her forever home."
And all that hardship here on earth will be so far away -- it will be gone. The suffering, the loneliness... all gone forever.

Our reward, my reward, is in Heaven. There's no point in seeking to find any reward on earth. Because I'll never find it.
My reward is in Heaven.

I have to give my life away... I've got to help people... forget about what will bring me up to the top and give others a helping hand instead.
It doesn't matter what people say or think of me... I've got to let everything go and obey Jesus. That's the only thing I have to do.

dear Jesus,
help me. this requires a change of heart. my broken, black, wordly, selfish, cobwebby, scratched, jealous, worried, anxious, scared, faithless heart.

Give me Your heart Jesus. Please.

When people realize it is the living God you are presenting and not some idol that makes them feel good, they are going to turn on you, even people in your own family. There is a great irony here: proclaiming so much love, experiencing so much hate! But don't quit. Don't cave in. It is all well worth it in the end. It is not success you are after in such times but survival. Be survivors! Before you've run out of options, the Son of Man will have arrived. [Matthew 10:21-23

Don't worry about what you'll say or how you'll say it. The right words will be there; the spirit of your Father will supply the words. [Verses 19-20]

It's like a promise, my friendship with Jesus.

I'm going to meet Jesus one day.
