up to me? but... it's impossible.

It's up to me to make myself a better person, right?

Nope. It's not. Who do we think we are? As if we can change our sinful desire's and hearts to become like Jesus and love everyone and only think good things and be full of peace and mercy and not judge and have our lives just brimming over with hope. Be patient, kind, gentle. Always faithful, always have self control.

That's impossible. We know it. It's impossible for me to make myself a better person.

Um, so how does this work then?

"No chance at all," Jesus said, "if you think you can pull it off by yourself."

See? Why do we even bother?

"Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it."
I have to plug into the Holy Spirit.

When I write, I have no idea what's going to happen.
Why on earth would I want to be holding the pen that scripts my life story? God has a beautiful plan and I need to hand the pen back over to Him, the Author of my life. [from Redefining Beautiful, Jenna Lucado]

God will make me like Him, with a heart just like Jesus'.
Oh, I'll never be perfect on this earth. This is me we're talking about -- this girl who says the wrong thing, gets impatient, and thinks she knows better than God because when does she really listen to Him?

How do we really know what "Let Go, Let God" really means? How does one just let go? I mean, "Aaah!" But it's not just, Let go. It's Let Go. Let God.

I have to pray.
I need to pray.
I'm going to pray.
I'm praying.

  1. Let Go, and let God...
Hard concept, but a beautiful story about trust.

  3. "...it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." Phipippians 2:13

Ahhh, Emii, I've been gone from blogger for so long, it feels like I've missed so many incredible posts! (Like this one.)

Exactly. It is GOD who works in us and changes us... but we have to be willing. We must pursue righteousness and holiness.

    Wonderful insight!
