Another Summer Day
Hey, girlz!
It's officially summer over here, which is pretty beautiful. I'm writing my book, which makes me happy -- and I've been listening to music. This is life! I've discovered some powerful words in the Bible which I can't wait to share -- some great stuff in Corinthians. Check out 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 -- I have this incomplete thought that I'd like to share. Also 2Corinthians 12:7-10 -- that's a really great passage. A part of it goes, "my grace is enough, it's all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness."
Something else I've discovered is that God hears me; and when my hearts desire's are like those of Jesus, you can bet than when we knock, the door will be opened.
Oh and Luke 15 -- I've been thinking about that, too... Keep lovin' God and remember that He hears our prayers and that He loves you so much. And remember to live a life of love as if your life depended on it -- because it does. Oh yes, I'm also loving 1 and 2 Peter.
Remember -- bless, that's our job, to bless.(1 Peter 3:8-12)-- Emii

Isn't it wonderful reading God's word?? It's so encouraging, so much truth, esp. in comparison to what we see in the world everyday - so pure and truly beautiful. ;) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHey, Emii, I have a question...in science class today, when we were talking about how the earth circles the sun and how it affects the hemispheres and stuff, we wondering if, since it's summer there in Australia right now (I'm in the US), do you guys break for school now? Or do you wait until it's winter there and summer here and break then, same time as us? (Hope that made sense!)
ReplyDeleteAnd this is just what I'm wondering, but how exactly do you celebrate Christmas? I mean, we have decorated evergreen trees in our houses and stuff here (unless you use a fake tree, like us), but you can't really do that in Australia, can you? ;) Thanks so much!
I went to bed wearing mittens last night...it was -8 degrees in Colorado, so I am officially jealous!!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's always to incredible when we feel encouraged and fall in love with scripture. Not only is it so inspired, but it has proven so so SO relevant.
Nicole -- around now, yup, our summer holidays begin, woot!
ReplyDeleteAha, well we usually go with the good old fake Christmas tree, but it's covered in spiderwebs, so... No tree this year as of yet. But really, I guess we do the whole Christmas decorating thing like you guys. :)
LOL, just curious -- are American's under the impression that we don't have trees over or something? Just because you said we couldn't do that over here, aha! :D
Eek, Sonia. It sounds cold!
Heyya, Em!
Brr, Sonia! My brother wrapped himself in a blanket at breakfast this morning (wimp ;) lol), but it's not that cold down where we are! Tho my dad loves Colorado. :p
ReplyDeleteThnx, Emii! Cool - how long do y'all get off for summer? Can't wait 'til Christmas break over here (actually, one of my homeschool friends started off *yesterday*!! I only get off the same as public school, the last two weeks of Dec.). Mmm, IDK whether ppl here think that Australians don't have Christmas trees or not. :p That was just me being ignorant. ;D
Haha, yes, I was under the *very* mistaken belief that Australians don't celebrate Christmas like us.
ReplyDeleteI now feel educated. ;)
