Movie Review: We Bought a Zoo
You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.
Today I went and saw the movie, We Bought a Zoo. It was beautiful. The actors were wonderful, the moments were powerful, and the setting serene.
The innocent romance between Dylan and Lily; the healing of a wounded family, and the new friendships that come with the hilariously random purchase of a zoo.
Starring Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Colin Ford and Elle Fanning, amongst others -- this film will make you smile, bring a tear to your eye and have you hoping that each character's dreams come true.
You leave some movies thinking, "Why on earth did I just watch that? What a waste of time." We Bought a Zoo is not like that. No, you leave thinking it was lovely and peaceful and full of hope. Based on a true story, the 124 minute movie will bring a feeling of contentment. You won't regret it. At least, I didn't.
I personally didn't fully enjoy this movie because, while the story was good and it has good lessons to be learned in it, there was a boatload of cussing my family wasn't aware of walking into a *supposedly* kid friendly PG movie.
ReplyDeleteI saw this movie just yesterday in the theaters! It was a cute movie! :) And it's interesting how it's based on a true story! Nice review!
