music. i love it.
don't just just love it when something hits you -- like, "yes, i can do this!" -- and the same time you're speaking the thought... the music in the background echoes your words.
I don't know about you, but it's such a God-thing. (I haven't said that in ages.) It's like I thought I knew -- and then God's just here, saying, "You got it, Emily. That's right."
I am not alone.
I'm not alone!
Do you ever think things like, "Why can't I just be better? The kind of person everyone likes?" Or, "Why did I act like that? Oh, now that person's going to think I'm a complete and total idiot. Oh, why do I have to do that?"
Fact is, we're pretty much guaranteed that there's things that we're going to stuff up everyday...
God-thing alert. The Brooke Fraser song that's playing just said, and you don't seem to mind when i'm so stupid. -- without you
I read this post just before, here and like wow, if you want to read about us and God and how we're like the toddler with such a small perspective then click on it because it was really really good.
[I love how that sentence was written really really badly. :D]
Listening to music, it's the best thing. And when a song comes on that you've never heard before, I love that. Words that I've never heard in the same order, new voices, new music. Yes, I love it. When I feel confused or dumb or tired or whatever... I listen to music.
"For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for Him."
Seriously? Privilege? Suffering is a privilege? Whatever. I don't know about you, but I hate it when something is hard and I don't know what to do or how to fix it or how to be better or do the right thing.

introducing me to emii, nick jonas
[it actually says that on my iPod. cool, huh?;)]
So, we get to give everything to Jesus so that we don't have to worry about it; we get to trust Jesus with everything, big or small, important or not. (And isn't everything important to some people? I mean, I'm sure someone cares about standing on ants. It's just not everyone's cause... totally irrelevant but you know.)

i just think it's funny. |
And at the same time we get to trust Him.. well, the other ties in; sufferance. We don't have to suffer alone! We get to trust Jesus that He knows and that He's got this in His hands because He does!
We worry so much. I worry so much. I freak out over things I don't need to, I wonder about this and I worry about that. I don't need to! Jesus holds it all and in all my sufferance, He's right here. I just got to give it all up, surrender it all; Jesus is calling me to shove this into His hands! He knows where to put every anxiety, every worry, everything that gets me down. Jesus loves me.
We just got to relax, you know? Stop being so uptight about life. There's good days and there's bad days, but even in the midst of everything bad... just stop. Just freeze, for a moment.
And.. look up. See Jesus. And then think.
This doesn't have to be bad. What would Jesus do? People say that's cliché but I don't believe so. What would Jesus do? Wait for Jesus. And act on His command. He loves you. He loves this world.
We give up too easy, don't we? We got to love Jesus with everything we are. With every part of our minds, our hearts, our souls. We got to stop worrying about this world and look to Jesus. Wait for Him, pray to Him, listen to Him... obey Him.
That is life, I think.
In everything, everything we do, whether the day is good or bad, whether we just want to go home or have recess again instead of maths -- shout out to God or whisper a silent plea -- call to Him. Never give up.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. [Isaiah 40:31]
I like your post. And yes: I love music. I'am singing all day ;-)
