lantern light

a lot of things, a lot of words. so much hurt and wounded hearts.

what to say, what to do.

God i pray. God i pray for the people who cry and the people who look up to find You; i pray You will take their hand and hold them.

to believe in You is to put my hope in You. to stop worrying about what i can and can't do and look at You, God, and give you my life.

to realize that i don't know anything and to just call Your name and know that You hear me.

to ask for mercy, for forgiveness.

to beg you will hold us, comfort us.

guide us by Your lantern light, O God.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

I read something just before, in Hollywood Nobody number three by Lisa Samson. 

I lie down on the pew, moonlight from a nearby window falling over the tip of my shoe. And here's something I'm learning about God: He usually only gives us enough light to make the next step, not enough to illuminate the entire room.
