mockingjay's & farmerboys
Spring came a couple of days early and warm air is the most beautiful feeling after so many days of those icy winds! Oh, and by the way, did I tell you what we got my mum for her birthday the other day? A mockingjay pin. Although, while we were on Ebay, we accidently clicked on it eight times -- but we didn't end up having to pay for them all. So that was good. Although, I don't think any of us would've complained about having our own pin. Besides having to part with ten well-saved dollars, of course.
This quote, which I found in an article I read recently by Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision.
It is when we surrender our lives to the care of God and are free to live for the care of others that we truly begin to live.I've been crucified with Christ and no longer live but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. [Galations 2:20]
this picture makes me smile. so cute! |
I've been crucified with Christ.I've given up my life. Just like Jesus did.
And no longer live.Righty-oh then. Apparently I'm not living. That one always makes me look at my hands and make sure they're actually there.
But Christ lives in me.So... I'm alive because of Jesus in me? So... I've died to this world. I am alive. I live by faith.
What if we all stopped living like Christians and started living like Jesus?I read that on Pinterest and my mouth turned into and O shape.
You know what I think? I reckon that we all so easily decide that we're going to, "Trust God, yeah yeah mate." But then it's like we view it as some massive, impossible puzzle, a code too hard to crack, and we're stumped; no clue where to start, so we sort of just wander around, tentatively wondering if we're doing right or wrong or whatever whatever.
Simply trust. I overcomplicate, I overthink. Simplicity. Trust God. Sleep when you're tired, pray out loud and on paper and in your head and just breathe. If you've got a headache, have a drink of water. Listen to music and remember that it's all okay. That what people say, well, mate:
i need to believe that it doesn't matter what other people think, that God knows and i have to trust Him and that i have exactly NOTHING to worry about and also that anything is possible, not with this world but in Jesus.Because I don't know, I guess it just becomes so clear. It so does not matter. Because we've died to this world and we're alive in Christ. In Jesus we've alive. I don't have the words to say what I'm trying to say!
This is what God said:
My Grace is enough. It's all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. To simply trust God. To stop thinking about it all and just be. Believe.
What is joy? Where is joy?
Well, there's this one insanely awesomely joyously beautifully great thing we can do.
We can ask God.
hope is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. [hebews 11:1]
God. is bigger than me. is it really that easy for me to forget? |
I over-think and over-complicate things too. Though like you said, it's so simple! We just need to trust Him, for real. Nice post Emii! :)
