I make mistakes and I hate myself for them. I'm hard on myself and don't know how to stop thinking about how I stuffed up. I know the song Nobody's Perfect, I've been belting out those lyrics for years -- when did I stop believing it myself? I screw up saying the the right thing, doing what I knew I should have done, and I hate myself for it. I hate myself for my insufficiency, my flaws.

Paul said it in Romans 7: "I don’t understand what I do. I don’t do what I want to do. Instead, I do what I hate to do. I do what I don’t want to do...What a terrible failure I am! Who will save me from this sin that brings death to my body? I give thanks to God. He will do it through Jesus Christ our Lord." 

And one other thing he said -- in God... when I am weak, the I am strong... oh, it's in Corinthians -- "My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness... It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness...I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become."
